"Shake Your Tail Feathers!" Thanksgiving Bulletin Board Idea
No reviews
How cute is this turkey themed Thanksgiving bulletin board idea featured by Debbie Clement over at Rainbows Within Reach!? She ran across this idea (and lots of other fabulous ideas!) while on a school visit and we just love the vibrant colors, unique border, and super fun kids craft!
Paper Plate Turkey Craft
Not sure you want to 'wing' the paper plate turkey craft? Simply search Google or Pinterest - seriously, there are tons of craft ideas out there!
We love, love, love this one from Happy Home Fairy, but think the original turkey created using colorful craft feathers is also a great option! The Best Kids Crafts and More provides directions (and a free printable template!) for a craft similar to the original.
Shake Your Tail Feathers!
- Background: Light blue bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Shake Your Tail Feathers!"
- Border: Cut strips of red bulletin board paper, scrunching the strips and stapling them around the outside of the board to create a fun textured border!
- Decoration: Use your kiddos' turkey crafts! To keep with the Thanksgiving theme, create speech bubbles from white card stock and have your students write one or two things they are most thankful for this year, attaching the bubbles next to their turkeys. [NOTE: Instead of speech bubbles, you could simply have your students create the turkey feathers from construction paper and write what they're thankful for directly onto the feathers/turkey craft.]
