Collaborative Thanksgiving Turkey Classroom Door Decoration
No reviews
While looking for Thanksgiving decorations around our favorite haunts, we ran across this cute turkey door display from Kathy Duke on Pinterest. To celebrate the season, Kathy had her students design a family feather {reminiscent of a 'family crest'} to add to the turkey display. They turned out pretty spectacular - we love the various textures!!
Turkey Door Display
- Background: Yellow or orange background paper.
- Title: "Gobble, Gobble...Happy Thanksgiving!"
- Border: None needed.
- Decoration: To create the turkey, find a clip art image online and use your classroom projector system to trace the shape onto a piece of brown background paper. [NOTE: To create a simple turkey shape without all the fuss, cut out one large and one medium circle from brown paper - see picture above.] Cut the various turkey details from construction paper - eyes, a bill, a snood, and feet. Mount these to the turkey cutout and use a black marker to add detailing as desired. Decorate the turkey cutout with your students' family feather projects!
