How To Cook A Turkey - Thanksgiving Bulletin Board Idea
No reviews
How fabulously adorable is this Thanksgiving project and bulletin board design from Rachelle at What the Teacher Wants?! We think it's definitely a fun way to start off the holiday festivities, provide your kiddos writing/sequencing practice, and {as Rachelle points out} have a few giggles along the way!
How To Cook A Turkey
Begin by having your kiddos write out {or dictate} the steps they would take to prepare/cook a Thanksgiving turkey. Rachelle offers lots of great question suggestions that will help your students think their way through the process - how much turkey would you need, what temperature does the oven need to be set at, etc. Type up their responses and display them on fun Thanksgiving themed paper.
How To Cook A Turkey Bulletin Board
- Background: Yellow bulletin board paper {or the color of your choice}.
- Title: "How To Cook A Thanksgiving Turkey!", "What's Cooking?", etc.
- Border: Fall or Thanksgiving themed border.
- Decoration: Rachelle gives great directions on making your own "turkey" to display in the center of the bulletin board, so be sure to head over to her blog and check it out! Once your turkey is on the board, arrange your students' projects around it and the board is complete!
