I Am Grateful For... - Paper Plate Cornucopia
The cornucopia, also known as the horn of plenty, has become a symbol prosperity, abundance, and our thankfulness for the many blessings in our lives. To help your kiddos get into the spirit of the season, we think this paper cornucopia 'blessings' craft from Amanda over at Kaboose offers a fun opportunity to get them crafting, as well as thinking about the people and things they are thankful for!
Complete with patterns {and pictures!}, your kiddos will first create a paper plate cornucopia and then work with craft foam to create fruit and vegetable cutouts. Attaching the colorful produce cutouts to craft sticks, invite your kiddos to write a blessing on each craft stick before adding it to their paper plate cornucopia. Send the completed projects home with your students and encourage them to share their crafts, and all of the things they're thankful for, at Thanksgiving dinner!
We think it's important to teach young children to be thankful and to give voice to the many blessings in their lives! Amanda's craft offers a beautiful way to express this gratitude and, shared with their families, is a lovely way for your students to bless their loved ones this holiday season!
