First Grade Rocks! - Rock Star Themed Welcome Bulletin Board Idea
Let your new students know what a rockin' good school year it's going to be with this fun welcome design! The colors are super fun and pop against the dark background, and we're certain your kiddos will love some of the fun additions/variations the design allows for. For example, instead of simply penning student names on the backstage pass cutouts, you might...
- Provide your kiddos with black markers and invite your new 'rockers' to autograph the cutouts
- Scrap the backstage pass cutouts in lieu of a first day of school rock star photo shoot where students get to dress up in rock star gear (i.e. microphones, sunglasses, hats, boas, blow up instruments, etc.). Print the pictures in black and white, inviting your kiddos to autograph their photo, and arrange the photos on the board.
- Rethink the purpose of the board, using it to display former students' advice/comments for the incoming students. Create a fun response sheet for students to fill in (i.e. "First grade rocks because...", "How to be a first grade rock star", etc.), then use the backstage pass cutouts to label each students' contribution to the board.
First Grade Rocks!
- Background: Black or hot pink bulletin board paper.
- Title: "__________ [First Grade, Mrs. Nelson's Class, Room 203, etc.] Rocks!"
- Border: Colorful rock show lights bulletin board border or a colorful music/rock star themed trimmer.
- Decoration: The display mock-up features Carson Dellosa's rock stars bulletin board set (which includes the border!). Even if you decide not to use the whole set to create the bulletin board (see options above), if yo're looking to do a rock star themed classroom, we know you'll be able to find a place for each of the colorful cutouts!
