My Sweet Things... Valentine's Day Bulletin Board Idea
No reviews
Candy hearts. Boxes of chocolate. Red roses. Valentine's Day is known for the "sweet" things in life! Bring that message into your classroom this year with this fun bulletin board idea from Garden of Praise.
"My Sweet Things..." Bulletin Board
- Background: White or light pink bulletin board paper.
- Title: "My Sweet Things!" - The bulletin board designer created custom striped lettering with white paper and pink markers, but you could also use traditional trace and cut letters with construction or fun patterned paper.
- Border: Solid fuschia border with twisted fuschia ribbon and glitter detailing on top. You might also consider a Valentine's Day themed bulletin board border.
- Decoration: 1) The Candy. While the original candy pieces were made from plastic plates, for a Valentine's Day twist, create large heart cutouts from assorted colors of poster board. Add a student photo to each heart. Glue a dowel rod or rolled up piece of paper to the bottom of each cutout, then cover each cutout with a piece of matching cellophane and tie the ends together with a piece of fun ribbon. The end result should look like a candy heart sucker! 2) The Extras. The original designer added a few pieces of real candy around the board for some extra interest, you might consider doing the same or adding a few small heart cutouts.
