Fall Science - Investigating Pumpkins

Fall Pumpkin Science Preschool Lesson Plan

A fabulous science exploration for the fall season, check out this pumpkin investigation lesson from Lindsay over at The Good Life. It's a great group activity and will have your kiddos making predictions, counting, and working with adjectives! Not only that, we love the sensory component and know your preschoolers will have a blast exploring both the outside and innards of the pumpkin.

While not necessary for the activity to work, we just love anchor charts and this one is super cute! It offers a great way to collect data and student observations/predictions. Did you notice the bottom? Each student drew a picture of how they thought the pumpkin should be carved. Super fun, right?!

For the full lesson details, be sure to visit The Good Life! While this was originally created for the third grade classroom, we're sure you'll be able to tailor it to fit your kiddos needs!
