Barbara Gruener - elementary counselor, character coach, and creator of The Corner On Character - invited us to check out her new back-to-school bulletin boards (she's in charge of decorating ten - count them TEN - bulletin boards each year!) and we're excited to be able to share her vibrant character-building designs!

Barbara recently published a book - What's Under Your Cape?: SUPERHEROES of the Character Kind - in which she defines positive character traits using the word, SUPERHEROES. She pulled from this theme when creating several of her bulletin boards...

Her first board was created to remind the SUPERHEROES of Westwood-Bales Elementary that they are welcome and important!

SUPERHERES - We Aren't Complete Without You!

• Background: White bulletin board paper.
• Title: "SUPERHEROES - We Aren't Complete Without You!" (Barbara actually provides the title lettering as a free download over at her blog! Click here to view the post!)
• Border: Superhero themed bulletin board border.
• Decoration: Barbara used Renewing Minds' superhero bulletin board accents to decorate the bulletin board - specifically the superhero cutouts, the star burst cutouts, and superheroes double-sided border. [NOTE: You could also create your own accents by purchasing cute superhero clip art. Simply print the images onto cardstock, cut out, and laminate! By purchasing the clip art, you can then use it to create a variety of other things and create a coordinating classroom theme - binder covers, letterhead, stickers, etcetera!!
