This Year Is Going To Be Totally Sweet! - Back-To-School Wall Display
No reviews
{Third grade teacher, Rachel Ashmore, over at Our Small-Town Idaho Life created these lovely back-to-school displays. Both themes are vibrant and fun, and we think either would 'bee' a great compliment to any early childhood learning environment! This post details her traditional apple theme, click the link to see her bee themed decorations!}
Bring back the traditional apple theme with a cute display like this one! We love that Rachel capitalized on a wall that has natural character, removing the need for all over background paper, and adore the mixed font/color title design!
This Year Is Going To Be Totally Sweet!
- Background: None needed. However, if your wall doesn't have as much character as Rachel's, you might choose to cover it with light blue or white background paper in order to tie everything together.
- Title: "_____________ [Third Grade, Mrs. Nelson's Class, Room 203, This Year, etc.] Is Going To Be Totally Sweet!"
- Border: Apple themed trimmer.
- Decoration: Start by creating a strip of "grass" from green bulletin board paper, fringing or cutting the top to look like individual blades of grass, and attaching the strip to the bottom of the display. Purchase a tree cutout or find a clip art image online, using your classroom projector system to enlarge and trace the image onto brown and green background paper. Use a black or brown marker to add the bark detailing to the trunk cutout. Add the tree shape to the center of the bulletin board and fill it with colorful apple cutouts. Again, either purchase cutouts or find a black and white clip art image to print onto colored construction paper, printing a student's name onto each apple cutout before attaching them to the tree.
