How stinkin' cute is this display created by Erin Straw?! Originally created for her Pre-K kiddos' graduation, with it's cutesy spring theme and celebratory message, we thought the design would make an adorable end-of-the-year display for any early childhood classroom/learning space! Whether or not your students will participate in a graduation ceremony, it's always important to recognize their achievement and celebrate that each day brings them closer to the next level!

Inching Toward Kindergarten!

• Background: Bright blue bulletin board paper.
• Title: "Inching Toward ___________ [Kindergarten, Third Grade, etc]!"
• Border: None needed. However, if you're creating this display on an actual bulletin board, you might consider adding a trimmer in a complimentary solid color or a spring themed border.
• Decoration: 1) The Apple Tree. We absolutely love the three-dimensional quality of the elements! To recreate this effect, you'll have to create two of each cutout - stapling, gluing, or sewing the edges together, while leaving enough space to stuff the newly created shape 'pocket' with tissue paper, cotton batting, or recycled newspaper. Because the shapes are so large, you'll have to cut the trunk shape from brown bulletin board paper, the foliage from green bulletin board paper, and the large apple from red bulletin board paper. The smaller apples, as well as the detailing (i.e. stems and leaves), can be cut from construction paper. 2) The Caterpillar. Cut seven medium-sized circles from green construction paper, gluing them together to create the caterpillar body. Add legs cut from black construction paper and eyes created using white and black construction paper. The caterpillar mouth can be created using a permanent marker, construction paper, or even a piece of black yarn.
