Hand Print Calendar: September
{Looking for a fun way to review the days of the week and months of the year? Try this hand print calendar! Students are sure to love the “hands on” artwork as well as the special poem for each month. If completed before the holidays, this makes a spectacular (and functional!) Christmas gift for mom and dad!}
September
In September, most kids are headed back to school - engrossed by thoughts of school supplies, school buses, and the new school year! Bring this theme to your September calendar page with a hand and fingerprint apple tree!
Supplies You'll Need
How To Make A Hand Print Apple Tree
Invite students to dip the tip of their finger into a shallow bowl of green washable paint then make a series of fingerprints (in the shape of an oval) to one side of their white construction paper.
Help students coat one finger with brown craft paint.
Encourage students to press their entire finger to the paper, directly under the freshly created "leaves" to create a tree trunk.
Once the tree trunk and leaves have dried, invite students to dip the tip of their finger into washable red paint and create "apples" on and around the tree.
