Easter Suncatcher Craft and Holiday Literature Selections!
Paired with some fun Easter literature selections {see our list of favorite books below}, this Easter egg suncatcher craft from Miya Maeda of Jellyfish Jelly would be the perfect holiday project for your preschoolers!
Supplies You'll Need
- Paper plates
- Craft paint in assorted pastel colors
- Kids paint brushes
- Craft scissors
- Cellophane or art tissue paper in assorted colors
- Glue stick
- Single hole punch
- Yarn
A few considerations...
While Miya offers a fabulous tutorial on her site, we had a few thoughts about the project. We love the idea of cutting an egg shape out of both paper plates, exposing the cellophane or tissue paper on both sides, and allowing sunlight to shine through. Constructing the plates this way, whether you hang them on the window or let them dangle from the ceiling, you're sure to get vibrant color!
Pair this craft with some fun Easter reading...
