Chicks & Salsa! - Interactive September Bulletin Board Idea
Kristyn, toddler teacher in Alabama, recently submitted this cute bulletin board she created for September and, with it's festive/unique theme and interactive components, we think it would make a fun addition to any early learning classroom!
Here's what she had to say about the design...
"I am the lead toddler teacher at Primrose Schools of Research Park. This was my September bulletin board. [At our school,] the themes for the month...were children around the world, music around the world, sports around the world, and animals around the world. For the older kids at Primrose, we focus on Spanish, so I thought I would go with a fiesta/spanish theme [and came up with the idea for] 'Chicks and Salsa'! The kids sponge painted paper plates yellow for the chicks. I made sombreros and had the children glue pom poms on them. I also made shakers out of easter eggs and plastic spoons [putting] rice in the eggs and using colorful duct tape [to seal them]. Each chick has a shaker, but then I put some more shakers on the bottom of the board and put velcro on the shakers so the kids could take them off and shake them when walking by. Everyone LOVED this, and the children really loved being able to shake the shakers. Oh, and the background is just splattered paint!"

We know your kiddos would have a great time helping you create this fun and unique interactive board!
