The Earth and I - Earth Day Craftivity
Ayn over at Little Illuminations posted this great Earth Day craftivity that we know your kiddos will enjoy. With a fun book and collaborative craft, this activity offers a great way to teach your kiddos about recycling and taking care of the Earth.
The Earth and I
This beautifully illustrated book is about the friendship between a little boy and the earth. They play together, nourish each other, listen to each other and, when the earth is sad, so is the little boy. Like any good friend, the little boy finds a way to make the earth happy. This is such a fun way for your kiddos to learn that everyone should take part in caring for the earth.
Collaborative Craftivity
To go along with the book, Ayn had her students work together, using recycled magazines and previously created craft paper, to collage a large Earth cutout.
To check out how the craft turned out and for a fantastic linky party of Earth Day lesson ideas, be sure to visit Little Illuminations!
