St. Patrick's Day - Pots of Treasure!
We thought we'd start out the week with a bang - check out this great craftivity from Julie of Happy Home Fairy! Not only does it result in a fabulous St. Patrick's Day decoration for your classroom or home, it encourages your kiddos to think beyond the holiday to list the people and things they treasure in their own lives!
Supplies You'll Need
- Black and yellow construction paper
- Black marker
- Silver metallic marker or white crayon/chalk
- School glue
Use the finished products to create a St. Patrick's Day wall display, covering the bulletin board in paper of rainbow colors and adding the title, "You Don't Need A Rainbow to Find Your Pot of Gold!", or simply invite your kiddos to take their treasure pots home to share with their families. Either way, we think it's a great reminder for children and adults alike to take time to recognize the many blessings in life!
For a fun tutorial - and lots of other great projects, lesson ideas, and crafts - be sure to visit Happy Home Fairy. We recently stumbled across Julie's site and it's become a fast favorite!
