Fun Crafts for the Fourth!
We loved the selection of July 4th crafts Allie of No Time For Flash Cards featured for the coming holiday - especially the fireworks! Two projects. Two completely different approaches to the colorful and wondrous Independence Day tradition!
Hand Print Fireworks pictured right
This utterly adorable project becomes an instant keepsake. {We can already hear grandma exclaim, years from now, "how cute your little hands were" and "how much you've grown"!}
Supplies You'll Need
- Black and white construction paper
- Red and blue craft paint
- Elmer's school glue
- Silver glitter
- Kids scissors
The project looks pretty straightforward, but gather up your materials and head on over to No Time For Flash Cards for the specifics!
Cupcake Liner Fireworks
Super simple - all you need for this craft are a few white cupcake liners, 'patriotic' markers {i.e. red and blue}, and some scissors! {Oh, and some 'patriotic' glitter too!} While these little three-dimensional firework creations look fantastic by themselves, consider adding a few made from coffee filters to add more visual interest. You might also consider spritzing a bit of water on the colored cupcake liners/coffee filters to create a "tie-dye" effect, then add glitter and mount to the background paper.
These fireworks are super simple to create and are sure to add some patriotic decor to your classroom or home for the holiday!
