DIY Veteran's Day Bracelet
These beautiful clay bead bracelets from Not Just A Housewife would make a fabulous Veteran's day craft for your kiddos! While it will involve some out-of-class work for you - baking and such - your students are sure to love the mixing colors, molding the beads, and sizing the finished product to create their very own patriotic jewelry/embellishments!
Supplies You'll Need
- Oven bake clay
- Toothpicks
- Bake and bond glue
- String
The process is pretty simple for creating the American flag beads. You'll need red, white, and blue clay {of course!} as well as the special glue. The star will probably be the hardest to form. For the "camo" beads, you may find that you'll have to mix several different colors of clay in order to get the base olive, tan, gray, and brown tones. Once satisfied with the base colors, your kiddos can get to bead making. The marbling effects are pretty cool!
