Colorful Name Banner Craft
Looking for an easy and inexpensive way to decorate the classroom and allow your kiddos to show off their personal style? Consider having your new students make colorful name banners to hang from the ceiling, along the windows, on the front of their desks, etc. Not only will this create some bright pops of color that you and your kiddos can enjoy during the first few weeks of school, it will also be cool for your new students to see work they've created hanging around the room - knowing they've already left a mark on their new learning environment!
Creating your own colorful name banners is easy and fast, simply arrange your letters and other cutouts (if desired) on the banner and use paint daubers to color in the banner. When dry, lift the shapes from the paper to reveal the name and shapes beneath! [NOTE: We didn't have sticker letters so we used simple card stock letter shapes and a glue stick. A little bit of glue on the corners of the letters was enough to hold them through the project and they peeled off nicely!]
You'll also have some fun 'leftovers' to use somewhere else!
