Colorful Melted Bead Suncatchers - or Ornaments!
No reviews
While this is probably not a craft that would be conducive to the classroom, these suncatchers we found over at Craftster would make gorgeous decorations for Christmas - or any time of year! They're actually quite simple to make...
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Line metal baking pans and/or ceramic dishes with clear colored plastic pony beads. [NOTE: It's important to create a single layer. Also, you might consider dabbling with patterns!]
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- When cooled, pop the suncatchers/ornaments out of the pans, drill a hole in the top, and string with ribbon.
That's all there is to it! Done with red, green, and clear beads in ceramic coffee mugs and strung with glittered ribbon, these would make a fabulous garland, ceiling accents, ornaments for a classroom Christmas tree, or even gifts to send home with your students!
