Valentine's Day Sensory Play - Chocolate Playdough Recipe
Chocolate and playdoh. Need I say more?? Two of my favorite things as a kid rolled into one great activity!! If you're looking for a fun sensory activity to complete with your youngsters this Valentine's Day, check out the chocolate playdough recipe provided by Beth over at 123 Homeschool 4 Me. The playdough even has a chocolately scent!
Ingredients
Making the Playdough
Step 1: Combine all 6 ingredients in a medium/large saucepan.
Step 2: Cook the ingredients over medium-high heat until a soft ball begins to form. Be sure to stir the mixture constantly! This process should take approximately 5 minutes.
Step 3: Poor the soft playdough ball onto a sheet of wax paper and allow it to cool.
Step 4: Knead the playdough a few times to get the ball to get the desired glossy playdough texture.
Step 5: PLAY! As a cute extension Beth suggests allowing your kiddos to use heart-shaped chocolate boxes to make their very own 'chocolate assortment.' And added bonus...now you have a reason to buy yourself a box of chocolates! Enjoy :)
