LEGO Math - Addition & Subtraction
If you don't have time to get the actual LEGOs out for hands-on practice, check out these fun LEGO-inspired math worksheets we found at The Kent Chronicles. Great for counting and math facts practice, simply print the worksheets onto white card stock, place in a plastic document sleeve, and set out with some dry erase markers and a piece of damp paper towel. After completing the exercise, students can wipe the worksheet clean and pass it on to a classmate!
As an extension, you might consider printing then cutting several worksheets apart, laminating and adding a magnetic strip to the back of each of the separate LEGO pieces. Create and laminate a simple addition/subtraction mat, placing it on an inexpensive cookie sheet, and invite students to use the LEGO manipulatives to create and solve their own addition/subtraction problems.
