Ice Cream Sensory Play
What could be better {and more messy!} than a shaving cream hide-and-seek sensory bin?! We just adore this summer sensory bin from Spell Outloud! Maureen added the activity to her "Ice Cream Unit" and we think it fits right in!
Supplies You'll Need
- Large plastic bin
- Shaving cream
- Items for hide-and-seek {Maureen chose ice cream themed erasers that are super cute!}
- Items for play {ice cream scoops, small colorful dishes, sprinkles, etc}

Wondering what to do with the shaving cream when your kiddos are finished dabbling? Pull out some jelly roll pans, food coloring/liquid watercolors, and art paper and try some paper marbling! Invite your kiddos to mix and name new flavors {i.e. pink|strawberry + green|mint + brown marker|choc. chips = Strawberry Mint Chip Blast, or something more creative!} Jean at The Artful Parent has a really great tutorial that will help you along if you've never experimented with paper marbling! Happy playing!
